Background
An institutional client in the City of London had
recently acquired a new office. The client had renovated the
top floor of their building into a world class restaurant
and bar. The roof top terrace outside the restaurant was
extremely large but unappealing, consisting generally of
concrete slabs. The client wanted to redesign the terrace in
line with the modern image of their restaurant to provide an
impressive area for outside dining in the summer months.
Scope of works included
Points of note
All materials had to be transported through the
offices of client and could only be undertaken during
non-business hours at weekends. All materials were
carefully selected to ensure that they were able to be
transported using the building’s lift. The construction
had to follow strict weight bearing restrictions and
accommodate the existing roof top drainage system.
